<span>English and German clubs eye Dundee United's Goodwillie</span>

German club Kaiserslautern are one of the clubs monitoring Dundee United's £1.5m-rated striker David Goodwillie, according to the player's agent.
United also confirmed that a top English club made enquiries, although no offer for Goodwillie has been made.
The 21-year-old has 18 months still to run on his current deal at Tannadice.
"Kaiserslautern have watched him recently and English Premier League clubs have watched him," Jim Harkins told BBC Scotland.
"They have staggered their viewing, coming up to see him to decide whether he can maintain his level of performance.
"He has maintained his level of performance consistently."
The sporting director for Bundesliga side Kaiserslautern was at Pittodrie on Saturday when Goodwillie's last-minute goal gave United a share of the points against Aberdeem.
And he also attended the 2-2 draw at Easter Road where he saw the player scored both United goals.
United chairman Stephen Thompson revealed that there have been two formal approaches, but no offers.
However, he conceded that the Tayside club would have to consider serious offers should they arrive.
"Obviously, he's in great form and has a great future ahead of him," Thompson told BBC Scotland.
"Let's be fair, every club is a selling club. If the biggest clubs in the world like Manchester United sell Cristiano Ronaldo then anybody can sell anybody.
"Every player has a price and that's just the way football is. We'll see in the weeks to come if we get any firm offers and that's it."
Goodwillie, who is now a full Scotland international, would cost in the region of £1.5m.
United manager Peter Houston was reluctant to speak about the player moving on until any concrete offer is received.
But he did admit the kind of money raised from such a deal would allow him to make his own moves in the transfer market.
"I'd maybe be able to bring someone in on wages, not pay for anyone," Houston told BBC Scotland.
"We'd like to bring players in. Unfortunately the club aren't in a position to bring in any players just now.
"We'll wait and see what happens."
Rangers had been linked with a move for Goodwillie in the summer, but on Thursday manager Walter Smith said he is currently not able to buy any player.
"We can't bring any player in until we lose one first," said Smith. "that's the position we're in at the moment."
Apart from a loan spell at Raith Rovers, the striker has spent his career at Tannadice and made his Scotland debut in the 3-0 victory over Faroe Islands in November.
